Does anyone have any suggestions for how to find the virus (if there is one)?ĭownload Security Check from HERE, and save it to your Desktop. I have ran a virus scan with Microsoft Security Essentials after everything appeared to be up to date, but it was not able to find any viruses. I recently downloaded a time synchronizing program (Dimension 4) which corrected my computer time and now my anti-virus appears to be up to date, but I have not been able to find and remove the virus. Is it possible for a virus to get through this partition? I have done a system restore with CTRL+F11 (system restore built into computer) on the computer a couple of times but still have had the same problem. I am running Windows XP on my Dell Inspiron E1505 Laptop. I have not noticed the virus causing any other problems on my computer. I have been unable to update the date and time through the Date and Time Properties dialog box. I was using AVG Free edition and now I am using Microsoft Security Essentials. This causes my anti-virus to be out of date and I prevents me from downloading the latest updates.

I believe I have a virus on my computer which causes the system time to be incorrect.
